I think I've found a contradition in Kevin's book and need some advise.

On page 94, just after the list of vegetables, Kevin says, "Do mix vegetables in the same meal.

And then on page 130 he recommends not mixing vegetables in the middle of the page.

Can anybody shed some light on this?

Well I cannot speak to which "rules" are right or wrong. I can tell you at first that I was scared to death to do anything different than my one meat, one vegetable during each meal......then I found some recipes on the web that mixed veggies during a meal. I just made sure to weigh them all together to be sure I wasn't eating too much.

I still had the same results, mixing veggies or not. So my food was much tastier with a coupla tablespoons of chopped onion, a garlic clove and then tomatoes.

Hope this helps!

That's funny, I had the same thought when I read that part of the book too. I think it's a typo. I'm not mixing my veggies. It's only for 6 weeks, not the rest of my life. I can make that small sacrifice for 6 weeks.

Ok I did some reasearch and found the REAL answer to the question in the Q&A section of the book. It it only when eating a salad that you can add onions, tomatoes and cucumbers. I'm done with Phase II and now I know my salads could have tasted much better. lol

When I first read this I was momentarily perplexed. Now I interpret this to mean " Don't have your steak, chicken breast or fish separately from your ONE vegetable: have your large handful of lettuce (together) with your steak" (?). Is anyone else reading it this way?
