Lung Cancer

I was wondering if there's anyone out there who has had cancer (or specifically lung cancer) and used alternative/natural medicines. My boyfriend was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer at 33 years old, and I know that the chemotherapy he's doing is not the answer (with the stage he's at, 5 year survival is less than 1%). But it seems like there are so many options out there, and its hard to know what way to go! So I'm hoping there may be someone who had success with a particular method or doctor.... anything you can share helps!!

My father was just diagnosed with lung cancer as well last week. I was hoping to find something as well. Let me know what find and I will you. How did you BF find out? What made him go to the DR?

Originally he had a non-cancerous brain tumor, which was found because he was having headaches. Found the lung cancer in a follow up visit. I've been looking into a lot of different alternative resources. Bought a Moss Report, which gave information on every major alternative medicine, and recommended some doctors, but I was disappointed because I ordered a report specifically on small cell lung cancer, but it was just a general report on cancer treatments, with a section at the front on small cell lung cancer. It helped as far as giving me a starting point, but I really wished it told me how well each treatment worked for small cell lung cancer. It was still worth the $350, especially if one of the treatments I found there saves his life.

Here is some research I have done. I am not a DR and cannot cure any disease. So consult with your DR.

Garlic pills - Chinese used it for centries to treat tumors also strenthens immune system.

PurGar (4 tabs 2 to 4 times daily with meals) or Kyolic aged garlic 1000 mg (3 of them)
Keep in mind that garlic thins the blood



Glutamine - Increases NK cell activity, decreases PGE2 synthesis, inhinits tumor growth, stabilizes weight loss, and reduces incidence of stomatitia and infection.



2 Grams taken daily on an empty stomach.
Harvard research showed that glutamine decreased medical expenses of leukemia patients undergoing bone marrow transplants by 21,095 per patient. The retail cost of glutamine is 10 bucks a day.



DR. Moss declaired that tumors are glutamine traps because tumors have high concentrations of glutamine. They have been reluctant to add glutamine supplements to cancer patients. DR. Klimberg challenged this she found that oral glutamine 1 gram per kg of body weight in rats upregulated tissue glutathione by 25% and increased natural killer cell activity by 2.5 folds. Tumors were inhibited by 40%.



Inositol hexaphosphate (IP-6)

IP-6 is a tumor suppressor. 1 to 3 grams a day suggested
Lactoferrin - Binds iron - Found in milk



Milk product protect against colon cancer. The Japanse researchers quoted as remarkable. Noted a 43% reduction i spontaneous lung metastasis. Suggested dose is 300 to 900 mg a day.


Melatonin - increases the survival of most cancer patients

My dad has a rapidly spreading cancer throughout his body. There is an alternative medicine that I have been giving him and not only does he feel better and more energized, but the knots in his chest and side are getting smaller and smaller. It's working, and now he is choosing not to do chemotherapy. I have to sneak around just to purchase it, but I can't keep quiet about it either. I know the suffering you are going through whiel watching the perosn you love deal with this disease. Also, remember that the best way to fight cancer is to boost your immune system by eating all organic foods with no cancer causing agents in them. I Reccommend a whole food approach to nutirtion since that is what is helping my dad so much, and also keeps me healthy as a horse. Secondly, I recommend a book that is AMAZING when it comes to cleansing the body and using foods to bring optimum nutrition and health. This forum I believe to share information freely - I can understand you not wanting to give a doctor's name publicly but why would you not give a product or the name of a book? There are many people who probably would like to know but are too laid back to call someone and talk to them one-on-one.
I commend you for offering to share the info by phone but I don't believe it is necessary to be so hush-hush on the name of a book or a product name even if it illegal in the U.S.

I went to the web site you mentioned - very good site and Protocel appears to be a good cancer fighter. It was formulated by Jim Sheridan and today goes under several names depending on where you buy it and whose formulation one uses - good for pets, also.

I don't know if this is the name of the product that Christina is referring to or not. I would like to say that no matter what the name of the product is - it can be mentioned - just suggest that it has worked for someone you know and that you cannot say for sure that it would work for you.
